I have been exploring the murky world of Night Vision since a request from a friendly farmer to help his involvement in a DEFRA disease/wildlife management campaign six years ago.
It needed NV as it required covert application to avoid unwanted attention, and after seeking some advice from the excellent minds on the NV forum, I purchased the then regarded best, a 10x Dronepro. It was a big heavy lump, stuck on top of the rifle but the image was unbelievably brilliant and is still regarded as a benchmark by which others are judged.
Since that time, I have tried and passed on (in time order from memory) numerous NV products; Ward 700/800, Pulsar N355, Ward Digiceptor and Pulsar Digex, the exception being the original Pard 007. It is a very versatile unit with its quick fit bayonet attachment that sees action on air rifle/.22RF/.243 and found it difficult to be surpassed until I tried the WULF Add-On.

The clarity produced by this unit is way above its competitors!
The image is darker and can suffer when viewing target species against a ploughed/earthy type background, but comes into its own on grass. Anybody using NV regularly will know how difficult and frustrating it can be trying to pick out a normal coloured Fox when you don't get eyeshine. They certainly stand out with the WULF. Not only that but the depth of focus is a bonus and it deals better with any overexposure from the IR.
I will be keeping my original Pard 007 for Air Rifle/.22RF use as the on-board IR is more than adequate, but for long-range Foxing and in direct comparison with the Pard 007A/Sytong HT-66 etc., the WULF is head and shoulders above.

The build quality is top-notch and has also overcome the need for a slip-on stock extension by producing a bayonet/lens housing. It not only does away with any requirement for black tape, due to their inclusion of two excellent different bayonet diameters and 4 thicknesses of collars but allows it to fit completely over the ocular of the day scope, resulting in a normal head position (considering the now obligatory 90/100mm eye relief of today`s rifle scopes).
I have recommended some modifications; like a detent screw to the dioptre, as it is too easy to turn and an improved rubber eyecup (based on me finding it better doubled up/folded forward).

Footnote:
Users of FFP scopes that I believe have struggled with ret focus on the Pard 007 may find this unit useful to their requirements for NV, as the ret focus dial is easily accessible on the top and is smooth/precise/repeatable.
